When you are challenged to put on a major event, there are countless details to manage. The last thing you need is to work with multiple creative vendors or to worry about communicating your mission and audience needs.
The Department of Surgery holds the annual Moses Gunn Research Conference to showcase posters and oral presentations from faculty, fellows, staff, and students. A conference of this size involves the entire department, researchers from other areas of the Medical Center and guest speakers from across the country. Furthermore, two prestigious awards are presented at the conference - the James W. Crudup Award and the Young Investigator Award.
Managing all elements of this event is challenging. The conference organizers depended on the expertise of Michigan MultiMedia staff to lead the design, development and production of all media associated with the event itself.
At Michigan MultiMedia, we are employees of UMHS, people who understand your audience, your needs, and your constraints. Working with the Moses Gunn team, we were a one-stop communications shop. We planned and executed a major video development project to be shown at the conference. Concurrently, we created an identity, logo, invitations, brochures and announcement posters that supported and extended the conference message.
Finally, we developed a branded web site that served as an announcement before the event, presented abstracts immediately before, and announced the winners of awards after its conclusion. And throughout the process, we provided support and suggestions to keep the project on track.
